Medallions
Little pieces of cast art. These medallions are molded from originals I have hand carved, I think of them kinda like zines, something simple I can make that can distribute a little art to people.

The Snake Button
A technology invented in the ancient bronze age, the Button, has been with us for more than 4000 years, the symbol of the Ouroboros followed shortly after, 3,300 years ago. A snake eating itself, Symbolizing the eternal destruction and regeneration that circles the cycle of life.
Like the Ouroboros, I consume what is already here, and use that to leave more of the same. Form, symbology, function. Recycled to make my own unique replica of what was.

"Molten Made Jewelry"
All my work is done in my philosophy of “Molten Made”. Which means I, the craftsman who created this jewelry, follows the tenant that I must have witnessed the metal in its molten form. This standard guarantees that all the jewelry I make is my creation. With that starting point I can simply focus on the craft, which achieves a quality that can only be found in the process. VTF uses no premanufactured sheet, wire or findings, choosing instead to start with raw elements, mostly Ag (Silver), Au (Gold), and Cu (Copper). Using tools and methods that go back to antiquity such as forging, sand casting, hammers, and anvils; alongside modern tools and methods like, microscopes, pneumatic engravers, and my trusty propane oxygen torch - because I believe authorship of labor is how one honors craft.
